As the excitement of Fall approaches, the Los Angeles Chapter of Women in Sports and Events (WISE Los Angeles) is excited to announce the return of its 12th Annual Women of Inspiration. This accolade celebrates remarkable women in the business of sports who have displayed unparalleled leadership, achieved outstanding accomplishments, and served as inspiration to others.
The nominations are now officially open, and we invite you to join us in recognizing and honoring these remarkable women.
The WISE Los Angeles 2023 Women of Inspiration seeks to recognize extraordinary individuals who have made significant contributions to our industry. We are on searching for leaders from the greater Los Angeles and Orange County community, women who have continued to be influential voices in the sports business, and those who have paved the way for other women in the field.
Honoring Former Women of Inspiration
Over the years, WISE LA has had the privilege of honoring a remarkable class of women including Gina Galasso, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of ocV!BE; Johanna Faries, SVP/General Manager, Call of Duty®; Julie Uhrman, Co-Founder and President, Angel City Football Club; Danita Johnson, President of Business Operations for D.C. United; Allison Howard, President of the KC Current; Heather Brooks Karatz, EVP, Growth & Operations at UTA; Jennifer Pransky, Head of Content for Angel City FC; Michele Kajiwara, SVP, Premium Seating with AEG; and Sandy Nunez, VP, Talent Management On-Air at the NFL. These outstanding professionals have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields, inspiring others and breaking down barriers along the way.
Call for Nominations
Now, it is time to nominate the deserving women who have left their mark in the world of sports. We invite you to submit nominations for individuals who have shown exemplary leadership, fostered positive change, and uplifted others. Nominees should be individuals who have been instrumental in creating new opportunities for women in sports and have served as role models to their colleagues and the community at large.
We welcome nominations from all corners of the sports industry who have had a profound impact in the business.
How to Submit Nominations
Nominating an outstanding individual for the 2023 Women of Inspiration is a simple process. Fill out the nomination form with the nominee's information, including their accomplishments, leadership qualities, and how they have contributed to the empowerment of women in sports. Nominations will be accepted until August 16, 2023.
