WISE Los Angeles and the LA84 Foundation invite you to an exclusive evening of storytelling, legacy, and leadership. Anchored by Coach Daysi, a moving short documentary produced for LA84’s 40th Anniversary with creative guidance from Academy Award–winner John Ridley (12 Years a Slave) and Jean Marie Condan.
Daysi's journey shows Los Angeles beyond the glitz and glamour. The real neighborhoods, the real barriers, and the power of sport to change lives one kid at a time.
Following the screening, LA84 CEO Renata Simril and filmmaker Daysi Garcia will share a live conversation about the making of the film and its powerful themes — before the discussion expands into a powerhouse panel: “From Legacy to Future: Women Shaping LA Sports & the Olympic Games.”
This conversation brings together Olympians, executives, and venue leaders as LA prepares for the 2028 Games. It’s a chance to hear how the women behind the scenes are shaping the city’s sports future — and to be part of the community rising with them.
